This proposed mixed-use development has every potential to enliven the outer edges of downtown Bellingham.  Audge By Design prepared a preliminary landscape plan closely coordinated with civil engineers and architects to maximize the safety, visibility, and pedestrian experience within a complex site composed of steep slopes, streetscapes, lower unit patios and an immediate adjacency to train tracks. Using selective patio wood screening, the principles of Right Plant, Right Place married with native plant knowledge, and the go-to knowledge of downtown’s streetscape design guidelines, Audge By Design’s design contribution was as integral to the functionality as it was a finishing touch to this promising project.
